The Grand Muhaddith of Pakistan, Mawlana Sardar Ahmad al-Chishti passed away.

The passing of the great hadith master and jurist Hadrat Sufyan al-Thawri (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ in Basra. Known as Amir al-Mu'minin fil-Hadith (Commander of the Faithful in Hadith), he was one of the greatest scholars of his era. He founded his own school of jurisprudence and was famous for his independence from rulers, often fleeing their courts to preserve his scholarly integrity.

The passing of the great woman saint Hadrat Rabia al-Adawiyyah (Rahimahallah) رَحِمَهَا ٱللَّٰهُ of Basra, one of the most celebrated mystics in Islamic history. She is credited with introducing the concept of selfless, pure love of Allah into Islamic spirituality, famously declaring: 'O Allah, if I worship You for fear of Hell, burn me in Hell. If I worship You in hope of Paradise, exclude me from Paradise. But if I worship You for Your own sake, grudge me not Your everlasting beauty.'
