بسم اللّٰهِ الرحمن الرحيم
Sha'ban is the eighth month of the Hijri calendar, serving as the bridge between Rajab and Ramadan. The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) used to fast extensively in this month, more than any other month besides Ramadan. The 15th night of Sha'ban, known as Shab-e-Barat (the Night of Salvation), is a blessed night when Allah's mercy descends abundantly and fates are decreed for the coming year. This month is a time of spiritual preparation for the upcoming fast of Ramadan.

Passing of Hadrat Mawlana Sardar Ahmad Chishti (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
The Grand Muhaddith of Pakistan, Mawlana Sardar Ahmad al-Chishti passed away.
Passing of Hadrat Sufyan al-Thawri (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
The passing of the great hadith master and jurist Hadrat Sufyan al-Thawri (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ in Basra. Known as Amir al-Mu'minin fil-Hadith (Commander of the Faithful in Hadith), he was one of the greatest scholars of his era. He founded his own school of jurisprudence and was famous for his independence from rulers, often fleeing their courts to preserve his scholarly integrity.
Passing of Hadrat Rabia al-Adawiyyah (Rahimahallah) رَحِمَهَا ٱللَّٰهُ
The passing of the great woman saint Hadrat Rabia al-Adawiyyah (Rahimahallah) رَحِمَهَا ٱللَّٰهُ of Basra, one of the most celebrated mystics in Islamic history. She is credited with introducing the concept of selfless, pure love of Allah into Islamic spirituality, famously declaring: 'O Allah, if I worship You for fear of Hell, burn me in Hell. If I worship You in hope of Paradise, exclude me from Paradise. But if I worship You for Your own sake, grudge me not Your everlasting beauty.'
Passing of Hadrat Shaykh Abu al-Farah (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ Muhammad Yusuf Tartusi
Hadrat Shaykh Abu al-Farah (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ Muhammad Yusuf Tartusi passed away.
Birth of Hadrat Imam Husayn (Radiyallahu Anhu) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ
Hadrat Imam Husayn (Radiyallahu Anhu) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ, grandson of the Prophet ﷺ, was born in Madinah.
Hadrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ Issues His First Fatwa
At the age of 13 years, 10 months and 4 days, Hadrat Ala Hazrat Hadrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ (rahimahullah) completed all traditional Islamic disciplines under his father's guidance. On the very same day (14th Sha'ban 1286 AH), he wrote his first Fatwa. Finding it correct and accurate, his father authorized him to issue Fatawa — a role he fulfilled until his passing.
Shab-e-Barat (Night of Forgiveness)
A blessed night when Allah forgives abundantly. The Prophet spent this night in prayer and supplication.
Change of Qiblah to the Ka'bah
The direction of prayer was changed from Jerusalem (Masjid al-Aqsa) to Makkah (Ka'bah) by divine command.
Passing of Hadrat Bayazid Bistami (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
The great Sufi saint Abu Yazid Tayfur ibn Isa al-Bistami, commonly known as Hadrat Bayazid Bistami (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ, passed away. He is regarded as the founder of the ecstatic school of Sufism and was known for extreme piety, asceticism, and devotion.
Passing of Shaykh Hadrat Sayyid Jama'at Ali Shah Naqshbandi (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
Shaykh Sayyid Jama'at Ali Shah al-Naqshbandi passed away.
Passing of Hadrat Allama Abdul Hakim Sharaf al-Qadiri (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
Hadrat Allama Abdul Hakim Sharaf al-Qadiri (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ passed away.
Passing of Hadrat Bilal ibn Rabah (Radiyallahu Anhu) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ
The first muezzin of Islam returned to his Lord in Damascus.
Passing of Hadrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
Shaykh Uthman Marwandi, known as Hadrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ, passed away.
Passing of Hadrat Mir Sayyid Muhammad Kalpawi Tirmidhi (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
Hadrat Mir Sayyid Muhammad Kalpawi Tirmidhi (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ al-Qadiri passed away.
Passing of Hadrat Ibn Kathir (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
The passing of Imam Isma'il ibn Umar ibn Kathir in Damascus. His Tafsir al-Quran al-Azim (Tafsir Hadrat Ibn Kathir (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ) is one of the most widely referenced Quran commentaries, explaining the Quran through hadith and other verses. His historical magnum opus Al-Bidayah wa al-Nihayah remains an essential reference for Islamic and world history from creation to his own time.
Passing of Hadrat Haji Muhammad Mushtaq Attari (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ
Former Head of Dawat-e-Islami's Central Executive Committee, Hadrat Haji Muhammad Mushtaq Attari (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ passed away.
Passing of Hadrat Sayyidah Umm Kulthum (Radiyallahu Anha) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهَا
Hadrat Sayyidah Umm Kulthum (Radiyallahu Anha) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهَا, daughter of the Prophet ﷺ, passed away.
Passing of Sayyidah Hafsah
Mother of the Believers, Hadrat Sayyidah Hafsah bint Umar (Radiyallahu Anha) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهَا passed away.
