Hussain ibn Ali
ٱلْحُسَيْن بْن عَلِيّ
(Radiyallahu Anhu) رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ
10 Muharram 61 AH
Born after a six-month pregnancy (miraculous, like Prophet Yahya (peace be upon him)) — Madinah
- ◈Leader of the youth of Paradise
- ◈The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed him in his lap, smelt him, embraced him, wrapped him in his blessed cloak
- ◈Embodied courage, justice, and compassion — resisted oppression and tyranny
- ◈Extraordinary generosity — gave 5,000 dinars to a poor person
- ◈Commanded such respect that Hadrat Abu Hurayrah (radi Allahu anhu) wished to lift him upon his shoulders
“The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed Imam Husayn in his lap, smelt him, embraced him, wrapped him in his blessed cloak, declared him the leader of the youth of Paradise and referred to him as 'my flower in this world'”(Musnad Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi)
Received education directly from the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)
Refused to pledge allegiance to Yazid ibn Muawiyah
Accepted letters from the people of Kufa inviting him to lead opposition to Yazid's rule
Travelled toward Kufa seeking to mobilise resistance against tyranny

Martyred fighting valiantly against Yazid's vast army despite being heavily outnumbered and deprived of water
“Although the world is considered good and exquisite, but the reward of Allah is far greater”
“When two people quarrel, the one who reconciles first will go to Paradise first”
“Sustenance has been divided by destiny, but it is better for man not to be greedy for monetary gain”
- 🌟The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) loved Hadrat Imam Husayn (radi Allahu anhu) so much he called him 'my flower in this world' and would embrace and kiss him!
- 🌟He is the leader of ALL the young people of Paradise!
- 🌟He was so generous he once gave 5,000 gold coins to help a poor person!
- 🌟His grandfather was the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), his father was Hadrat Ali (radi Allahu anhu), and his mother was Hadrat Fatimah (radi Allahu anha) — what an amazing family!
- 🌟He stood up bravely for what was right even when it was very difficult!
