The master of the Sufi path, Hadrat Imam Junayd al-Baghdadi (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ, passed away in Baghdad. Known as Sayyid al-Taifah, he is considered the founder of the sober school of tasawwuf and nearly all major Sufi orders trace their spiritual chains through him.

تَحْرِير بَيْت ٱلْمَقْدِس

Hadrat Salahuddin Ayyubi (Rahimahullah) رَحِمَهُ ٱللَّٰهُ liberated Jerusalem from 88 years of Crusader occupation. Remarkably, this occurred on 27 Rajab — the same date as the Isra wa Mi'raj (Night Journey) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Unlike the Crusader conquest of 1099 which resulted in a massacre, Salahuddin showed mercy and chivalry, allowing the Christian inhabitants to leave safely. He personally cleaned Masjid al-Aqsa and restored it to Muslim worship.
